This Studio is Made Possible by... Neighbors Like You!
Remember tuning into PBS and hearing that a show was made possible by "viewers like you"? That’s exactly how our studio works.
Autistic Wings is driven by two young co-founders who balance each other completely. Fifteen-year-old Leta; an elite tapper who stepped back from commercial training to build this safe haven and be the face of the studio. And 17-year-old Faith, a Synergy Dance commercial dancer who powers our operations behind the scenes; writing grants, teaching classes, and usually doing everything she can to avoid the camera. Together, they’ve built a vibrant home where neurodivergent dancers of all ages can leap, tap, and belong without ever having to mask.
(Check out the video above to see The Golden Chrysalises during their very first shoot! It’s mostly Leta holding down the rhythm on home plate because Faith managed to hurt her knee the day before. Though true to form, Faith still showed up on crutches to cheer from the dugout.)
Because we believe artistic excellence and belonging shouldn't depend on a family's financial circumstance, 100% of our dancers attend on partial or full scholarships. Providing that level of support means our scholarship fund is stretched to its limit. Right now there are four dancers currently sitting on our waiting list. They are waiting for their chance to take the floor. Their chance to show that they can hold that spotlight and shine. But, we can’t bring them on until we raise the scholarship funds.
Our goal this Colorado Gives season is to raise enough recurring monthly support to clear those four spots and welcome every single one of those dancers into our classes.
Whether it is $5, $20, or $50 a month, recurring pledges are the lifeblood of our studio. Monthly gifts give us long-term stability: they allow us to look our families in the eye and guarantee that their dancer’s tuition is fully funded for the entire season.

Autistic Wings Dance Company's mission is to provide an empowering, safe space where autistic dancers can thrive. Rooted in the belief that the activity must adapt to the dancer—not the other way around—we offer specialized instruction, movement, and performance opportunities, ensuring every student can build confidence and pursue their path in the arts and beyond.
Autistic Wings is a rapidly growing organization led by autistic individuals. We invented the nation's first Dance Studio IEP and commit to an unparalleled standard of care: highly specialized classes with a high teacher-to-student ratio. All classes have 1-4 dancers, and at least 2 teachers per class.
This life-changing model has caused Autistic Wings to outgrow our single-room facility with crumbling walls. We must secure a new, larger studio to serve our waitlist and guarantee a safer environment.
Your support is critical. This Colorado Gives, we are seeking recurring monthly donations to secure our new home, instantly unlocking space for 72 new dancers and paving the way to serve over 200 students by next fall. We invite you to watch our video testimonials to see the incredible transformation your donation makes possible.
