A Message from Miss Casie & the OTB Family

If you’ve been around On the Break Dance Academy, you know we are all about raw talent, authentic moments, and family. Whether it’s watching our kids master a new baton trick, seeing young breakers finally realize why Mr. Ivan is a local legend, or laughing when he unexpectedly pulls parents onto the stage to do impromptu solos at our showcases—we live for community.

But right now, we want to talk about a very special part of our community: Autistic Wings Dance Company.

The Full-Circle Story 🔄

A lot of people don’t know this, but On the Break is actually where Autistic Wings got its very first start. We shared a vision of making dance accessible, expressive, and powerful for every single kid.

Lately, as we’ve been working hard to rebuild and relaunch our own programs, our friends at Autistic Wings stepped up in a massive way. They opened their studio doors to us, letting us run our kids' breaking and baton twirling classes out of their beautiful space three nights a week.

They had our backs when we needed it most. Now, it’s our turn to have theirs.

Why We Need You to Step Up

Autistic Wings is currently running a massive campaign to fund their professional program dancers (the Golden Chrysalises) and expand their reach. They are doing the hard work of proving that neurodivergent artists belong on the main stage.

Through this Colorado Gives P2P page, every single dollar you donate goes directly to supporting Autistic Wings.

• Where the money goes: It funds specialized tuition costs, supports their professional dancers, and helps build an inclusive arts empire right here in our community.

• Our Goal: We want the OTB network—our parents, our adult breakers, our baton twirlers, and our fans—to show Autistic Wings the same fierce love and support they’ve shown us.
