Two Breeds. One Mission. A New Kind of Rescue.

Colorado has many wonderful animal rescues, including a few dedicated Husky and northern-breed organizations doing important work. But until now, Colorado has never had a PACFA licensed, foster-based rescue specifically designed for companion-bred Wolfdogs — animals who fall through the cracks of every existing system.

Cavalli’s Husky & Wolfdog Rescue was created to fill that gap with something Colorado has never had before: a responsible, ethical, foster-based rescue committed to Husky welfare and to the safe rehabilitation and placement of companion Wolfdogs.

This is not a sanctuary.
This is not a kennel model.
 And this is not a hobby rehoming effort.

This is true rescue for two high-need, misunderstood breeds — done safely, transparently, and with lifelong support.

🐾PROGRAM 1: Husky & Northern Breed Rescue🐾

Colorado shelters are overwhelmed with Huskies. They are beautiful, intelligent, high-drive dogs who are frequently overbred, misunderstood, or surrendered after multiple failed placements.

While Colorado has a small number of established Husky rescues, the need is greater than what any single organization can meet. Cavalli’s Rescue is stepping in as a new, licensed, foster-based option committed to:

🐺PROGRAM 2: Wolfdog Rescue & Education🐺

🚨This is where the need becomes URGENT.🚨

Colorado has several well-known wolfdog sanctuaries. Many do meaningful work for wolfdogs who cannot live in homes.

But Colorado has no existing foster-based rescue trained or structured for companion Wolfdogs — the ones specifically bred to live in homes, yet often surrendered, abandoned, or euthanized because no rescue program exists to support them the right way.

Wolfdogs require far more than a typical rescue setup:

🩶Fear-period and maturity-stage understanding
🩶Reading wolf-specific body language and micro-signals
🩶SSA (same-sex aggression) management
🩶Trauma-informed transitional care

Without these elements, wolfdogs are repeatedly rehomed, mislabeled, or euthanized — not because they’re “too much,” but because no foster-based rescue has existed to support them, the right way.
