Growing Gardens is a Boulder nonprofit, founded in 1998, dedicated to building community through urban agriculture, food access, and hands-on education. We operate three farms in Boulder County, engaging diverse communities, including Spanish-speaking and low-income families.
Since our founding, we’ve connected over 200,000 people with their local food systems through gardening and nutrition programs. Each year, we donate fresh produce for 23,000 meals and share seeds and seedlings, enabling low-income families to grow an estimated 90,000 more meals at home.
Our youth programs reach over 6,000 children and 350 teens annually, teaching healthy eating and sustainable agriculture. Colorado donors supporting programs like our Children's Peace Garden may also be eligible for a 50% state tax credit.
Consider supporting Growing Gardens this holiday season. Thank you!
A note from Lauren:
It was a great year for flowers, ginger and cucumbers! Amongst other crops.
I am eager to finalize our new greenhouse project this fall and to bring it to life this coming spring! We hope to grow more in 2026 for our plant sales, farms and donation programs - all while finding greater efficiencies in the growing process.
These are some hard times we are living in, our neighbors, near and far, need access to quality food and community now more than ever. I am lucky to work for an organization that puts this at the forefront.
If you are looking to make an impact this season, look no further, Growing Gardens is doing fantastic work that you can support right now.
Thank you for considering and I send you so much love and gratitude.
