I’m excited to support the Colorado Children’s Chorale this Colorado Gives Day! The Chorale shares professional choral music with the global community by training exceptional young performers, and as both a Board Member and a parent, I’ve seen firsthand the profound impact this organization has.

The Chorale teaches so much more than music. Singers learn how to travel, talk with adults, give interviews, make friends (and be a good friend), and conduct themselves as professional performers. My son joined the Chorale as a shy 2nd grader, and now he’s the life of the party. The Chorale taught him that he belongs on any stage, that he deserves to be exactly who he is.

Through the Chorale, he’s had truly life-changing performance opportunities: singing a solo with the Colorado Symphony in front of three sold-out audiences, performing a world premiere with the award-winning Pacifica Quartet, and appearing with one of the nation’s oldest opera companies in their production of Street Scene. He’s sung on the stages of Boettcher Concert Hall and the Buell Theatre, and toured across Colorado, Singapore, and Malaysia.

The Colorado Children’s Chorale doesn’t just teach children to sing — it teaches them to shine.
