Help me support the ACLU of Colorado!

I hope you will join me in supporting the ACLU of Colorado and all the important work that they do to protect the rights of all Coloradans.

Their work to defend the principles of due process and equal protection is critical as ICE continues to terrorize our communities and violate the rights of citizens and non-citizens alike. Much of their legal work has been in this area, with lawsuits ranging from suing the Trump administration for warrant less arrests in Colorado (Ramirez Ovando, et al. v. Noem, et al.) to suing a landlord for repeated threats to report tenants to immigration authorities (John Doe, et al. v. Schwalb, et al.)

They are also fighting for our right to privacy against increasing surveillance with little to no oversight or regulation by state and federal governments. Flock cameras have been used by Texas police to prosecute a woman who had an abortion in another state.

The ACLU of Colorado has also been engaged in defending our right to speech. For example fighting back against efforts to ban books in school libraries typically due to the books in question containing LGBT themes or characters.

Their support helped pass bills like HB25-1312 which provides additional legal protections for transgender individuals and SB25-276 which is aimed to prevent the violation of civil rights of people in Colorado based on immigration status.

This is just a small subset of the important work that the ACLU of Colorado does which helps ensure that Colorado is and continues to be a great place to live for everyone!

• $100 covers a trip to partner organizations across Colorado to hear directly from an impacted community.
• $500 covers CORA requests to help plan proposed legislation.
