Honoring the Legacy of Donn E. Reid

The Heath Middle School Industrial Arts Center has been named in honor of lifelong educator and coach Donn E. Reid (1938–2026), who dedicated 32 years to serving students in Greeley-Evans School District 6.

Donn began his career at Evans High School before teaching at Meeker Junior High and eventually spending 26 years at Heath Middle School. As an industrial arts teacher and department chair, he taught students practical skills through woodworking, metalworking, drafting, manufacturing, and other hands-on courses. He also served as an assistant coach and supported athletics throughout the district.

More than the skills he taught, Donn wanted his students to become successful in life. He believed in teaching honesty, integrity, sportsmanship, hard work, and service to others. While he held high expectations, his students knew he cared deeply about them and wanted them to succeed both in school and beyond.

Gifts to the Donn E. Reid Memorial Fund will help support the Industrial Arts Center at Heath Middle School, ensuring Donn’s passion for hands-on learning and his commitment to students continue to make an impact for generations to come.

By giving in Donn’s memory, you are helping carry forward the legacy of an educator who believed every student deserved the skills, values, and encouragement needed to build a successful life.
