With over 800 freely accessible resources published in our eight years of operation, we look forward to working even harder in the coming year to continue to spread our message of compassion and empathy for all!

Animal sanctuaries and rescues are crucial spaces for fostering and cultivating human empathy and compassion for nonhumans, but well-researched, accessible guidance on compassionate caregiving for farmed animals was rare, if not nonexistent, before our founding in 2018. Our audience agrees that OSP is the de facto most reliable source of compassionate care information for farmed animals, with:

• 1.8 million hits to our site
• 292,710 unique sessions  this year (users browsing our site)
• 1191 named animal care and advocacy organizations from over 46 countries among our user base

We face a significant challenge in the coming year: our funding is being halved due to our primary funder shifting its focus away from sanctuary work and support.
