Need: Funding the gap between public allocations (UPK/CCCAP) and true high-cost outdoor care (5:1 ratios, cold/wet weather gear, sensory tools, nature immersion staff).
Target: $250,000 of the $800k goal (~25–30 subsidized preschool & kindergarten-entry seats).
Track 2: K–12 / Milheim House Micro-School & Healing Hub
Need: Cutting baseline tuition by 50% (from $20,000 to $10,000 per student) to support 2e, neurodivergent, BIPOC, and LGBTQ+ learners with low-ratio instruction and multigenerational Family Circles.
Target: $550,000 of the $800k goal (~55 subsidized elementary/middle/high school student seats).
Why We Are Raising $800,000 for Denver Families
At Worldmind Education, we believe that financial barriers should never prevent a child from accessing specialized, neuro-affirming, nature-immersed education.
Traditional schooling models often fail twice-exceptional (2e), neurodivergent, and sensory-sensitive youth. Worldmind bridges this gap through two distinct, high-impact learning tracks:
(0–5) Nature-Based Early Learning: Immersive outdoor preschool and kindergarten-entry programs based across City Park and the Denver Museum of Nature and Science campus.
(K–12) Milheim House Micro-School & Community Hub: A historic, trauma-informed learning environment combining individualized academic pacing with multi-generational Family Healing Circles.
The Problem & Our Solution
The true operational cost of delivering low-ratio (5:1), trauma-informed, outdoor and specialized education is approximately $20,000 per student annually. For working families, this cost is an insurmountable barrier.
Our Goal: Raise $800,000 in philanthropic subsidies to:
Allocate $250,000 to our 0–5 Early Childhood Division: Bridging the gap above Universal Preschool (UPK) and CCCAP allocations to fund specialized 5:1 outdoor educator ratios, all-weather gear, and licensed pre-K seats.
Allocate $550,000 to the K–12 Milheim House Micro-School: Slashing annual family tuition in half (from $20,000 down to $10,000 per student) for 55 neurodivergent, 2e, BIPOC, and lower-income Denver youth.
