This May, I’m running my first marathon, the Colfax Marathon, in support of the Denver Zoo Conservation Alliance. The Denver Zoo has always been a really special place to me. Some of my favorite memories growing up were spent there with my sister and my grandma. Walking through exhibits, taking our time, and just enjoying being together at a place we all loved.
DZCA does incredible work beyond the zoo, supporting wildlife conservation, animal care, and education efforts both locally and around the world. Training for my first marathon feels like the perfect opportunity to support a nonprofit I genuinely care about while honoring a place that holds so many meaningful memories for me.
