Our Story in 2025: Celebrating a Milestone Year and Igniting the Giving Season

This year marks a major milestone for World at Hand. We turned 5 years old in 2025, and we’re entering the Giving Season with our biggest grassroots campaign yet: “I Got 5 On It.”This campaign will fuel our work throughout Giving Tuesday, Colorado Gives Day, and the entire end-of-year giving season.

In 2020, World at Hand began as a simple dream to help more students access global education opportunities. What started as a small scholarship idea has now grown into an award-winning organization that has:

🌍 Introduced nearly 500 students across Colorado to international education📘 Supported 45 students through the Global Access Passport (GAP) Program🎓 Awarded 10 study abroad scholarships✈️ Launched Beyond Borders: Next Steps to help students reflect, grow, and lead after returning home

These accomplishments reaffirm something we have believed since day one: when you invest in students who have been historically excluded from global opportunities, transformation follows.

Why “I Got 5 On It”?

As we celebrate turning 5, we are inviting at least 500 donors to give $5, $15, $55, $105, $555, or any amount ending in 5. Our goal is to raise $5,000+ during the 2025 Giving Season.

But this campaign is about more than celebrating a milestone. It is about creating lasting change.

Every dollar raised this season will go directly into our new Agency Advised Fund with The Denver Foundation. World at Hand is seeding the fund with $5,000 of our own, and with your support, we aim to grow it toward the $25,000 endowment threshold. Reaching this goal will allow the fund to generate annual scholarship support for students every single year, far into the future.

This is how we shift from year-to-year fundraising toward long-term sustainability. Your gift helps ensure that students will always have access to the passports, scholarships, and support they need to see the world and bring new perspectives back to their communities.
