Lindsey's GTT Staff Fundraiser

The photo I chose isn't the prettiest one, but I love what that it captures the essence of a Garden to Table interaction. How many times have you eaten potatoes in your life? Have you ever grown and harvested potatoes? Have you ever witnessed a kid pull a potato or a root vegetable out of the ground for the first time? It's absolutely magic!

My personal goal in my work with Garden to Table is to instill a sense of curiosity and wonder in our students. I believe that children who are curious about the  world around them, and who experience a sense of wonder at what they see, touch, and taste, will grow up to be adults who care for nature and who seek out fresh food.

It's Garden to Table's 20th Anniversary - we've given roughly 26,000 students an opportunity to wonder and be curious! 

Our program is better than ever, with teachers and volunteers telling us they love our curriculum and its impact on their students. For the first time ever, we're starting to see an average of more than one lesson per class each season!

In our Title I partner schools, where we're able to provide Garden to Table staff garden educators, students are learning in their school gardens 245% more times than they used to!
