My name is Mat Smelker, and this year I’ve partnered with the Leadville Trail 100 Legacy Foundation. In August 2027, I’ll be taking on the epic Leadville Trail 100 Run - 100 miles through the Colorado mountains - and you can help me support the Leadville community along the way.
After this year’s Willow Fire, Leadville will need continued support as the community works to recover and bounce back.
The Legacy Foundation does so much for Leadville and Lake County—from providing a $3,000 scholarship to every Lake County High School graduate who wants to pursue any educational opportunity after high school, to helping meet critical community needs through their local Legacy Grants program. The foundation has awarded more that $1M in scholarships and invested more than $550,000 to local programs and continues to make a huge difference in Leadville.
