As the Executive Director of Adaptive Adventures, this mission is deeply personal to me. I have been with this organization since 2010, and over all these years, I have seen the power of this work transform countless lives—including my own family’s. My dad—a proud Vietnam veteran—found purpose, connection, and renewed confidence through adaptive recreation. Witnessing his transformation changed my life. As his caregiver, I experienced firsthand how these programs lift not only the participant, but the entire family. The joy, the hope, the forward momentum…it stays with you. It’s why I show up to this work every single day.
