Blue Bump 2026!

Water is the reason any of us can call Colorado our home...

...and as a headwaters state, our home provides water to 19 other states and multiple millions of people. Our rivers are the lifeblood of ecosystems, riparian zones, wildlife populations and habitat, and communities big and small. Caring for and managing Colorado’s water is a complex and demanding task, and its importance cannot be overstated.

Whether you fish, surf, boat, or ski; whether you enjoy coffee or beer or a hot shower; if you appreciate our firefighters' abillity to respond to wildfire; or if you just love Colorado's water-carved landscapes, we all depend on a sustainable supply of water from a healthy watershed.  In the Arkansas and Gunnison River Basins, there's an array of incredible watershed-focused groups working to secure the quality and availability of our water and the wildlife who also depend on it - but often with extremely limited staff and resources. This essential watershed protection work can't be done without a steady stream of the right people to help.

That’s where Blue Elements comes in.

We leverage the power of national service (AmeriCorps) to place the right people with the right partners for more powerful watershed protection in our beloved river basins, helping to create water leaders for today and for generations to come.

Our water is precious and taking care of what we have is more crucial than it ever has been. Help Blue Elements power watershed health by donating what you can.

Because we all depend on water - and water depends on us.
