Support TRS as We Prepare to Move!

My goal is to raise $25,000 for The Right Step, Inc., an adaptive riding and horsemanship program in Littleton. This program's mission is to improve humans' lives through the immeasurable power of horses. This program helps children and adults with disabilities, veterans, people in sober living and recovery, and people in assisted living and memory care facilities gain confidence, physical strength, language fluency, leadership skills, and much more through riding and interacting with horses. 

From now through Colorado Gives Day (December 9th), all donations made through the Colorado Gives website are boosted by an incentive fund that increases the value of each donation. It's a great time to give! On top of that, monthly recurring donations up to $100 are matched in the first month by Colorado Gives!

I know $25,000 sounds like a lot, but it will help The Right Step, Inc. buy equipment we'll need to keep our arenas at our new facility at the Denver Polo Club groomed and ready for classes. 

As the Development Chair for The Right Step, Inc., I have the privilege of witnessing something extraordinary every single week.

I see the quiet power of our horses -- our beloved, hard-working partners -- help people rediscover confidence, connection, and calm. I see riders take their first steps toward independence. I see families exhale with relief and pride. And I see veterans, many carrying invisible wounds, begin to heal in ways that traditional approaches alone could never reach.

Our Veterans Program in particular has changed lives in front of my eyes. I’ve watched veterans arrive guarded and unsure, only to form a bond with a horse that opens a door inside them. Over time, their posture softens, their voice steadies, and they begin to reconnect... with themselves, with others, and with hope. These moments are powerful. They stay with me. And they motivate everything I do as Development Chair.

This Colorado Gives season, I’m asking personally for your support. We are working toward an important goal -- and an important future: moving to the Denver Polo Club and building a barn we can call our own. This move strengthens our programs, supports our staff and volunteers, and, most importantly, gives our horses the safe, comfortable home they deserve.
