When survivors of domestic violence flee danger, finding safe shelter is urgent and essential to beginning the journey toward healing. Our hotel-model emergency shelter program provides private, secure rooms where survivors and their children can rest, recover, and plan for a safer future. Your support ensures we can meet this critical need, offering safety and dignity during a time of crisis.
Crisis Center clients can stay in our emergency shelter program for up to four months and have access to our 24-hour crisis line, daily essentials, therapy, advocacy, safety planning, referrals to community resources and other vital resources to help enhance safety and well-being. Each client is assigned an Advocate, who meets in-person with their clients regularly to ensure their needs and goals are being met. Clients may continue with non-residential services after leaving our shelter program.
Why hotels? Providing emergency shelter through hotels gives survivors a vital lifeline, a safe, private space where they can begin to process their trauma, regain a sense of control, and make plans for the future. Unlike communal shelter settings, hotel rooms offer a sense of normalcy and security during an incredibly difficult time. Through our hotel partners, we can also welcome survivors with pets, removing one of the biggest barriers that often keeps families from leaving an unsafe situation. Together, this approach provides safety, dignity, and healing when survivors need it most.
