In 2024, New Era Colorado ran its most impactful cross-entity electoral program yet: We reached 1+ million young voters and our base of young people turned out at 86 percent, 17 points above the state average and at least 42 (!) points ahead of the national average. Young voters who identify as Black, Indigenous, and people of color turned out at 54 percent, also far above national averages and a testament to our outreach efforts.
Young people—and New Era Colorado—were essential in passing ballot measures that protect abortion and same-sex marriage rights: Amendment 79 and Amendment J. Exit polling shows that 69 percent of voters ages 18-44 voted in favor of Amendment 79, including 77 percent of young women and 62 percent of young men. Young people will continue to turn out to protect our freedoms and our futures.
After achieving huge wins in 2024 and 2025, we're working towards our biggest push yet: repealing parts of Colorado's regressive tax system, TABOR, so the ultra-wealthy finally pay what they owe, and our state can fund the services we need so every Coloradan can thrive.
