I’m raising money for the Denver Streets Partnership this Colorado Gives Day because I believe Denver deserves safe, healthy, and people-friendly streets. Every person in our city should be able to walk, bike, roll, and ride transit with dignity, safety, and ease—but right now, too many of our neighborhoods are built for cars instead of people.
The Denver Streets Partnership (DSP) is working to change that. They’re leading the charge to:
Elevate the voices of people who are harmed the most by our car-centric transportation system, including people experiencing homelessness, people with disabilities, and communities of color
Advocate for policies and bold investments that increase access to walking, biking, rolling, and transit, such as the precedent-setting Denver Deserves Sidewalks initiative
Fight against policies that reinforce our unsustainable dependence on cars and driving, such as Denver's outdated parking mandates
Demonstrate what's possible when we reimagine our streets through art, placemaking, and tactical urbanism projects
Each policy win, every dollar invested in safer streets, and every new sidewalk, bike lane, or bus lane that is built happens because of people who care about making Denver safer and more livable. And there’s so much more to do: holding the city accountable to its Vision Zero pledge to end traffic deaths, securing historic transit funding, and continuing to design communities that put people first.
Your donation—no matter the size—will help keep the momentum going. Together, we can make sure every Denver resident has the freedom to move safely, the dignity of accessible transportation, and the joy of vibrant public spaces.
Please join me in supporting the Denver Streets Partnership this Colorado Gives Day. Let’s invest in a Denver that works for people, not just cars.
