My name is Sabrina and I have been a domestic violence therapist for a little over a year and I can't imagine myself in any other field. I love providing therapy and empowering survivors each session to help them see their worth and understand that the abuse they faced was not their fault. I am lucky to work for an organization that provides free services and support for clients in need, including therapy, advocacy, legal advocacy, a 24/7 crisis line, and emergency shelter that are all confidential. Everyday we get to see clients find safety, increase their self-esteem, and learn about healthy relationships with the support of donors and grants. 

As we honor the legacy of the past 40 years, we look to the future and the next iteration of our work: our new brand and identity as the Ember Center, a symbol of resilience, light, and the enduring strength of every survivor we serve. This new chapter is more than a fresh look, it represents our evolving mission and commitment to serving survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault.

• $145 provides a night of safe shelter for one client 

• $75 pays for a therapy session for one client

• $200 provides a month of community-based advocacy for a client
