EMBER CENTER MISSION STATEMENT:
Ember Center (formerly the Crisis Center) exists to end domestic violence and sexual assault through therapy, advocacy, outreach, and prevention.
For 40 years, the Crisis Center has been a beacon of hope, providing shelter, therapy, advocacy, and healing to countless domestic violence survivors and their families. Over the decades, our name and brand have evolved to reflect the growth of our mission and the expanding ways we serve our community.
Today, we are proud to introduce the next iteration of our work: our new brand and identity as Ember Center. A symbol of resilience, light, and the enduring strength of every survivor we serve, this new chapter is more than a fresh look; it represents our evolving mission and commitment to serving survivors of both domestic violence and sexual assault, broadening the support we provide to survivors of all forms of abuse and helps fill a critical gap in services.
With this growth, Ember Center stands on a renewed promise: that anybody who reaches out to us will find safety, advocacy, and healing, no matter their experience, background or journey.
Our emergency shelter, therapy, community-based advocacy, and legal advocacy services continue, uninterrupted. Our 24-hour crisis line remains the same at 303-688-8484.
As we step into this new chapter, we are grateful for the community that has walked alongside us and we invite you to continue that journey with us. Your support ensures that every survivor who turns to Ember Center finds the safety, hope, and compassionate care they deserve. Together, we will continue to fuel a future where every person can live free from violence.

Client Testimonials:
"No one really talks about or acknowledges domestic violence in upper socio-economic demographics, but the impact is just as real and, in some ways, even harder to overcome. The [Crisis Center] and its supporters helped me tremendously, but more importantly my son has improved as a result of the resources at the [Crisis Center]. It is one of the few places my challenges have been understood and supported because domestic violence usually only ends once someone dies."
“The [Crisis Center] has been my safe haven. I feel valued and understood. I got support here at a time I was not getting it anywhere. It has helped me tremendously.”
“I was so afraid and alone. The [Crisis Center] saved my life. I don’t have words to express how valuable of an agency this is. It has helped me find freedom, safety and peace for me and my daughters!”
“I thought the [Crisis Center] would only help my son with his trauma from domestic violence. I was so happy that I was also offered therapy as a single dad!"
