$800 goal

This year, I'll be competing in my 4th Driftless Flyathlon, an event that combines trail running and fly fishing in support of trout stream conservation across the Driftless Region. As part of my participation, I'm hoping to raise $800 to help protect and preserve critical cold-water trout habitat.

This year's fundraising effort supports the Spring Branch Creek Project in Delaware County, Iowa. The 192-acre property includes more than 4,000 feet of Spring Branch Creek, one of Iowa's premier trout streams. The creek supports exceptional populations of wild Brown Trout, native Brook Trout, and the Slimy Sculpin, a Species of Greatest Conservation Need.

Protecting this land will help safeguard the water sources that supply the nearby Manchester Fish Hatchery, improve water quality, preserve floodplain habitat, and maintain public access to nearly three-quarters of a mile of outstanding trout fishing.

As someone who values healthy fisheries, public access, and conservation, I'm proud to support this effort through the Driftless Flyathlon. Any contribution, big or small, helps ensure these resources remain available for future generations.

My goal is to raise $800. Thank you for your support and helping protect one of Iowa's treasured trout streams!
