Rebecca's Mountain Resource Center Fundraiser!

I have been on MRC's Board for about 2.5 years, and I can't say enough about how impressed I am with this organization that provides so much support for those in need in the mountain communities. MRC runs an amazing food pantry (I would shop there!), including locally sourced meat and milk, fresh fruits and vegetables, diapers and baby formula -- and they have a refrigerated van where they bring the food into rural areas to ensure greater access. They also run a case management program where those in need can obtain rent, mortgage, or utility assistance and ongoing support; an onsite free licensed preschool; free mental health care; workforce and job training; various support groups for women and families; support for veterans; various gift cards to help during the holidays; and so much more. 

MRC has been a beacon in the foothills of southwest Denver for over 30 years, and its independent auditor recently determined 87 cents of every dollar goes directly to programs, so your generosity will support a proven, established organization and will immediately help those who need it. With respect to the food share: $25 buys 25 lbs of apples; $50 buys 40 lbs of local squash; $125 buys a month of fuel for the food delivery van; $250 buys a week's worth of milk; and $500 buys 100 lbs of local beef.
