There are alot of stories in the news about what is going on. Don't be deceived by what we are hearing in the news -- families are still in crisis here in Colorado.
As of 11/7/2025, 5% of SNAP beneficiaries in Colorado received their full benefit for November. That’s about 32,000 individuals.
Approximately 560,000 individuals have received nothing.
Funds donated are restricted and will only be used to purchase and help distribute emergency food.

This November, over 500,000 Coloradans, including thousands of children and seniors, are facing a critical loss of federal Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits, creating an unprecedented wave of food insecurity across our state. To combat this imminent crisis, Salon Ostara is dedicating its next month's fundraising to Servicios de La Raza. As an established community-rooted organization, Servicios de La Raza provides holistic, culturally responsive support, including a vital food pantry, essential services, and advocacy to help vulnerable individuals and families navigate this sudden hardship.
