CORE clears the path to improved contraceptive care and access for Coloradans in rural regions and communities historically excluded from equitable healthcare systems.
Every person deserves autonomy over their body – especially when deciding if or when they want to become a parent. We help make that possible.
Too many people, especially in rural and under-resourced communities, still face barriers to accessing reproductive health services, including birth control. Clinics are closing, funding is shrinking, and inequities are growing.
Our mission is simple yet urgent: ensure every person has access to high-quality, person-centered reproductive healthcare, no matter where they live.
At CORE (Community Centered Reproductive Health), we believe sexual and reproductive healthcare—including access to contraception—must be rooted in equity, accessibility, and community voice.
Our impact is all about changing systems—not making quick fixes. We work alongside clinics, health departments, community organizations, and community members to strengthen and sustain reproductive health care on a systemic level. Our work is rooted in three core values that form CORE’s Contraceptive Access Framework:
- Community Centered Contraceptive Care: We help ensure that health systems reflect the voices, values, and priorities of the people they serve. We do this by helping to bring community-guided mobile contraceptive services directly to rural residents, meeting people where they are with the methods they trust.
- Sustainability: We create more equal access to reproductive healthcare and birth control by strengthening infrastructure, supporting workforce capacity building, and making sure clinics can access the resources they need to keep running.
- Person-Centered, Inclusive Clinical Care: We train providers on how to best provide care and create spaces where every person is seen, heard, and respected. We do this by helping clinics engage with local youth to shape confidential, teen-friendly reproductive health services that reflect their real needs and voices.
Your impact
When you give to CORE, you’re protecting and expanding reproductive health access and contraceptive care. Every dollar expands access to contraception and ensures that more Coloradans can receive care that is respectful, inclusive, and rooted in equity.
Join us in expanding reproductive health and contraceptive access!
You can change the quality of care people receive when it comes to their sexual and reproductive health.
You can put contraceptive care right into people’s hands.
With your help, in 2026 we are launching a new Colorado Reproductive Health Kit Program. This is a practical, scalable initiative to get birth control into the hands of those who need it. Each kit will include:
- Internal and external condoms and dental dams
- 2 doses of emergency contraception
- Pregnancy test
- Evidence-based patient education materials
Kits are mailed in discreet envelopes with no identifying information on the package. With your help, we can expand this program to reach more clinics, more providers, more communities, and more patients, especially those most affected by health inequities.
With your support, we can reach more clinics and providers across Colorado with reproductive health kits and person-centered care training. Together, we can make sure every person—no matter their ZIP code or income—has access to the contraception and reproductive care they deserve.
- Every dollar you give goes toward:
- Supporting patient- and community-centered reproductive health staff education
- Developing CORE’s Colorado Reproductive Health Kit Program and distributing reproductive health kits to patients across Colorado
- Sustaining and expanding CORE’s work to advance equitable contraceptive access across Colorado
