Empower a Teacher. Transform a Classroom.

Across Brazil, public school English teachers want to help their students speak English clearly and confidently, but few have access to specialized pronunciation training. The STEP Program (Strategies for Teaching English Pronunciation), run by the Colorado Chapter of Partners of the Americas, changes that.

In partnership with Color Vowel® and English Language Training Solutions, STEP offers Brazilian EFL teachers a 10-week online Color Vowel® Level 1 Training and Certification at no cost. The demand speaks for itself: 95 public school teachers applied to this fall's program, and thanks to generous donors, the first cohort of 12 teachers began training on August 22, 2026.

Teachers who complete the training call it transformative. "This course gave me a new pair of ears," one participant shared. Another called it "a game-changer" she could never teach without. Each certified teacher brings this approach back to classrooms of students who might otherwise never gain confidence in spoken English.

But 93 qualified, motivated teachers are still waiting for their chance.

Your $500 gift fully funds a teacher's training and certification. *As a thank-you, you'll receive a handcrafted açaí bead bracelet made by our student volunteers at Biojewelry for Education, the same jewelry-making model that previously raised $50,000 for breast cancer detection in Brazil. Every gift, at any level, helps build the scholarship fund and expand the program.

*Please include your mailing address in the notes.

Empowering teachers, one bead at a time.
