Neighbors Helping Neighbors: Launching the Buena Vista Local Drive Aid

The rising cost of living and cuts to vital government programs mean more of our neighbors are struggling. The Buena Vista Local Drive Aid is our commitment to building a stronger, more resilient community, led by people who are impacted by these cuts ourselves.

This drive is a proud collaboration with the Chaffee County Community Foundation. Every dollar and every item collected will go directly to local donation centers in Buena Vista, who will put the aid right back into the hands of local families and individuals in need.

HOW TO SUPPORT:

1. Make a tax deductible donation on this page. Funds go to the Emergency Response Fund to support local food access. A $1 given to a food bank or pantry can provide up to three meals of food!

2. Find a donation bin and give essential items: Food, Clean Blankets, Gently Used Coats, Hygiene & Cleaning Products

3. Host a Donation Bin or Giving Flyer at Your Business: We’re asking our amazing local businesses to join the mission by becoming a donation drop-off location. You provide the space. We do the work! Our volunteers will supply the bin and commit to a weekly pick-up schedule, taking the donations straight to the appropriate donation centers.

No space for a donation bin? No worries! Hang a flyer with a QR Code to accept monetary donations.
