CCCF works everyday toward a more resilient and connected community. We do this by inspiring philanthropy, fostering community conversations, building nonprofit capacity and ensuring we have a response ready for the next emergency. Join us in making this an amazing place to live by donating or volunteering.

Here are just a few of the ways we've been working to make our community stronger:

  • 29 hours of training and development offered to nonprofit leaders in 2023.
  • 84 local nonprofits funded with over $450,000
  • 7 organizations fiscally sponsored by CCCF, including 2 previous sponsors who have successfully launched to be their own organization without CCCF's support.
  • 15 local funds managed by CCCF allowing philanthropists large and small to create targeted funding solutions for special causes.
  • 1476 volunteers connected to local nonprofits so far in 2023.

Check out our five year impact report for all of the ways we've worked to build an interconnected, vibrant community. Join us by making a gift that will lift up the entire community!

Mission

OUR VISION

We envision a resilient Chaffee County where residents, nonprofits, businesses, and governments are thriving, interconnected, and well resourced.

OUR MISSION

CCCF acts as a catalyst to inspire positive change through the power of philanthropy to enrich the lives of all people in Chaffee County.

Background Statement

The Chaffee County Community Foundation was formed in 2018 in response to a community-wide visioning process focused on the challenges associated with the rapid growth in our region. A local community foundation was identified as a key component of enacting many of the solutions identified through the process.

We focus on three core pillars in pursuit of our mission and vision:

- Nonprofit Capacity Building: Ensuring all local organizations are functioning at their greatest capacity.

- Inspiring Philanthropy: Fostering informed and accessible philanthropy so that all members of our community are empowered to give.

- Community Conversations: Leading community conversations to drive locally relevant solutions that reflect the needs of the entire community.

In our 2nd year, the local community was greatly impacted by a wildfire that displaced many residents. Fulfilling our mission to act as a catalyst for positive change, CCCF quickly responded to collect and disseminate funds to those who were affected. The following year when COVID hit, disaster relief and emergency response became a core focus of the Foundation’s activities. As we enter our fifth year, CCCF has a renewed focus on three core areas while being poised with a robust disaster response when needed.
