Bold Steps

Every year, teen parents in foster care face the uphill battle of raising a child while navigating the instability of the foster care system. Many lack safe housing, consistent guidance, and the skills they need to become independent. Without intervention, the cycle of instability and poverty often continues for another generation.

Bold Steps exists to break that cycle. We provide teen moms and dads in foster care with the tools, resources, and community they need to thrive , not just survive. Through safe housing initiatives, one-on-one mentorship, and hands-on life skills workshops, we help young parents gain stability, learn critical skills, and build a future filled with opportunity.

Our mentorship program pairs each teen parent with a trained, caring mentor who offers guidance, encouragement, and accountability. Our workshops cover essential topics like financial literacy, cooking and nutrition, parenting skills, and career readiness. We also work to ensure they have access to mental health support, educational opportunities, and basic necessities for their children.
