In 2022, I coached a season of  🩷Girls on the Run💚 and it was enough to ignite a passion calling me to serve on the Board of Directors at Girls on the Run of the Rockies.

One season was all it took to watch shy girls find their voice at a starting line, and to watch a girl who almost quit, because practice was hard to get to, or money was tight, cross a 5K finish line with her whole team screaming her name.

That's the moment I got hooked: it wasn’t the running, it was the belonging.

On September 1, 2026, Colorado Youth Sports Giving Day kicks off, and it's the single best day of the year to make your dollar go further for girls like the ones I coached.

Starting at 6:00 PM on 9/01/2026, every donation to Girls on the Run Rockies is eligible to be matched, part of a $1.25M statewide match pool from the Daniels Fund and Project Play Colorado.

That means your $50 could become $100. Your $200 could become $400. For girls, that's the difference between a season on the sidelines and a season that changes how they see themselves.
