Hip Hop Madness 20th Anniversary Celebration

The Colorado Dance Collective Adult Repertoire Company dancers represent a wide cross-section of the community and are united by a shared passion for dance.  Hip Hop Madness is one of our inclusive programs that celebrates our diversity.  

The CDC will celebrate the 20th anniversary of Hip Hop Madness in 2027.  HHM is a free one-day dance convention that aims to make professionally taught dance classes and performances accessible to participants of all ages from 6 to 99.  In 2026 the average age of participants was 16.6 years.  The CDC strives to bring our “Mission in Motion” to the community by empowering individuals to express themselves and be active through the medium of dance.  Our HHM program brings in professional instructors and artists from across the country to ensure that everyone who participates has a chance to experience the genre from professional dancers who are chosen not only for their expertise but also their positive approach to teaching and mentoring.

Classes are offered at the Beginning, Intermediate and Advanced levels.  The structure of our program is simple: each class level enjoys one or two hours of free classes specifically tailored to their ability and taught by experts in the dance community.  At the end of the day, there is a performance by several local professional troupes.  Participants walk away with a one-of-a-kind experience that they get to treasure for the rest of their lives!

Donations to the CDC’s YSGD campaign will help to fund class instructors, complimentary T-shirts and swag and our venue, the University of Northern Colorado Campus Recreation Center for our youth participants.
