Hello, my name is Tucker Spiess and I am running the Leadville Trail 100 this summer in August, 2026. Leadville, CO is the highest elevated city in North America, standing at 10,152 ft, and the LT100 is a 100 mile race that runs through the biggest and toughest mountains of the Colorado Rockies.
I attempted this race in the summer of 2025 when I ran 81 miles in 25 hours before dropping out. Leading up that race in 2025, mainly through the support of the Brunswick School community, I was able to fundraise over $5,000 for an organization called Livestrong which aids those affected by cancer.
This year, I am raising money for the Legacy Foundation to help fund the city of Leadville's initiatives and projects. Donations provide scholarships for Leadville's high school graduates pursuing higher education, as well as supporting various community partners and their projects, such as the Cloud City Conservation Center and Lake County Search & Rescue.
In the summer of 2025, I learned more about myself, my family, my friends and the Leadville community in the 25 hours I race Leadville than I could have learned in a lifetime. That experience (things I saw, the emotions I felt, the limits I pushed, etc) is contagious. It is an experience that I think back to almost every day and it is an experience that I am chasing again. Please help me continue that chase in the 2026 Leadville Trail 100.
