Outwardly, you easily could have mistaken my experience with cancer as Everest-conquering. I thought I had found the perfect method of turning lemons into lemonade. I cut through cancer and squeezed out the positives, like a new perspective and purpose in life. I also learned to use a mask to hide my deepest and most vulnerable wounds. When I lost my father, a few years ago to cancer, my mask could no longer cover up the bulging pain. I needed a guide to help me out of my valley. It was through Epic Experience and their language of adventure that made me feel lavishly loved and freed from the false summits of what matters most in life. The river, the mountains and my new friends at the 7W ranch, all helped me get back on the path of conquering the Everest-within and living life beyond cancer.
