Thank you for supporting the UCAR Center for Science Education through the Colorado Gives Outdoor Learning campaign!

This fundraising effort is part of the broader Colorado Gives Outdoor Learning campaign, Give Wonder & Watch It Grow, which celebrates and supports organizations that help Coloradans reconnect with nature, each other, and their ability to create positive change.

Your gift to the UCAR Center for Science Education (UCAR SciEd) helps provide hands-on science and outdoor learning experiences that connect people of all ages to weather,  water, and Earth system science through field trips, teacher resources, public programs, and interactive exhibits. Each year, UCAR SciEd connects over 14,000 people directly with our amazing planet through award-winning programs that help students, teachers, and the public create personal meaning and connection with the outdoors. UCAR SciEd also welcomes over 90,000 annual visitors to the NSF NCAR Mesa Lab Visitor Center and almost 75,000 hikers on the Walter Orr Roberts Weather Trail each year.

Our team of educators are dynamic storytellers who create innovative and meaningful learning experiences that bring weather, space weather, and atmospheric science to life. Our programs are:

- Free and accessible to all, both in-person and virtual

- Nature-based PreK-12 programs aligned to state and national educational standards

- Designed to engage diverse learning styles and abilities

- Catalysts to explore the outdoors, understand our planet, and take action to build resilient communities

Your gift during the Colorado Gives Outdoor Learning campaign directly supports UCAR Center for Science Education programs and educational resources during a critical time. Together, we’re helping create a more connected, caring world through the power of outdoor learning.
