Developed as part of an effort to give community support to the Sensory Processing Foundation and their continued research, education and "rehabilitation" of our children diagnosed with SPD.
The Sensory Processing Disorder Foundation's Mission:
"The SPD Foundation is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for children with SPD and their families by
- conducting rigorous research into the causes, diagnosis, and treatment of Sensory Processing Disorder
- educating the world about SPD through innovative learning and awareness programs for individuals, families, clinicians, teachers, health care providers, policy makers, and the public
- advocating for diagnostic recognition of the disorder "
The number of children and adults living with SPD, learning ways to navigate it and find relief are estimated to be somewhere around 1 in 20. Our community is large! The support we receive from the SPD Foundation is immense as they pioneer the research, education and resources for our loved ones, and ourselves.
This is an opportunity to gather our large community in one combined effort to show the SPD Foundation that we appreciate the help they give us and millions of others.
