The South Routt Library Friends is an independent non-profit volunteer organization working to further the educational and informational needs of the community served by the South Routt Library District by providing supplemental financial and volunteer support for those materials and activities the library district requires to meet their objectives.
In 2022, we opened a new library in Oak Creek, hosted a guest speaker every month for our Speaker Series, collaborated with Opera Steamboat to put on a performance in Oak Creek's ice arena, helped the District Board canvass successfully for the passage of legislation that will provide our library district with more funds, furnished the conference room in our new library, and had a booth at the Oak Creek Farmers' Market. It was a great first year and we are looking to do more great things in 2023!
