CCD is deeply grateful to our incredible community, whose unwavering support since April has helped sustain us during this critical period. Thanks to more than 230 individual contributions, totaling $106,678.38 (including both generous donations and personal loans) CCD now qualifies to apply for a $50,000 business loan, which is currently under review.

We want to especially thank everyone who gave to the Save CCD fundraising campaign.

However, every dollar raised through donations reduces the debt we must carry forward, directly strengthening our long-term sustainability. Likewise, each new student enrolled in our Conservatory not only enriches our artistic community but also builds a stronger foundation for CCD’s future.

While this is a time for celebration and gratitude, the work continues. This support will carry us through the next season of dance, ensuring that our fall 2025 and spring 2026 classes will happen, enabling us to produce the 2025 Nutcracker. However, we still must raise enrollment, ticket sales, and community engagement to reach long-term sustainability.

If you've stuck with us through this adventure, we believe we can count on your support. Word-of-mouth is, and has always been, our top-cited marketing channel, meaning students (youth and adult), audience members, and the community learn about us and our work through your voice.

In order of importance, you can help CCD reach long-term sustainability by:

  1. Referring new students (youth and adults). Growing enrollment is our number one priority!
  2. Setting up a monthly, recurring donation on Colorado Gives. Financial support is the best way to help us reach sustainability.
  3. Volunteering. With reduced staff and hours, volunteers have become more critical than ever before.

We believe we will reach sustainability, but we can't do it alone. We need you! Let's keep dance thriving in our community, and let's work together to keep CCD's doors open for generations.

Hi,

I’m Sandra Parks, Executive and Artistic Director of Colorado Conservatory of Dance—a nonprofit in Broomfield that has served over 9,000 people each year for more than 30 years through education, outreach, and performance.

Today, I’m reaching out with urgency.

Unless we raise $150,000 by the end of July, CCD will be forced to close.

Over the past few years, CCD went through several leadership transitions. During that time, the financial picture shared with our Board didn’t reflect the organization’s true situation. Meanwhile, pandemic recovery has been slow—public funding has declined, and enrollment and ticket sales haven’t returned to pre-pandemic levels.

Until this year, there was no long-term plan in place.

Now, we have one.

Our board and staff have worked tirelessly—we’ve cut costs, restructured programs, and developed a clear five-year roadmap to rebuild.

But without immediate support, that plan won’t have a chance to succeed. That’s why I’m asking for your help.

Your support—whether a donation, a low-interest loan, or a community investment—will allow CCD to continue:

  • Offering free dance programs at over 10 Title I schools
  • Teaching 100+ students each year, from age 2 to 75+
  • And presenting professional, inclusive performances—like The Nutcracker—to thousands of families

If CCD has ever touched your life, or if you believe in the power of dance to heal and connect, please stand with us now.

CCD is more than a dance school. It’s a home. A safe place. A space where creativity, compassion, and community come alive.

We cannot do this without you.

Thank you—from the bottom of my heart—for listening, for sharing, and for believing in what we do.
