It was just another Sunday, out riding mountain bikes with my friends, when things went sideways. I crashed my bike and suffered internal injuries. My friends were there to help save my life by calling 911 and keeping me warm (hat tip to Kevin, Rick and Jason!) and then Rocky Mountain Rescue Volunteers came in with a backboard and hauled me out to the waiting helicopter. Their efficiency and effort got me to the hospital with 15 minutes to spare.
