SHORT-TERM STABILIZATION: LIGHTHOUSE
The first step in healing begins with safety and stability. Lighthouse is our short-term stabilization residence, offering survivors of sex trafficking a secure and supportive environment where they can begin to rest, recover, and take the first steps toward rebuilding their lives. Here are the key details:
- Safe, Short-Term Housing: Lighthouse provides survivors with up to 30 days of safe, structured living. This protected space offers immediate refuge from trafficking situations, allowing participants to stabilize physically and emotionally.
- Medical & Mental Health Support: During this crucial phase, survivors receive access to medical care and mental health support. Our team ensures that pressing health needs are addressed with compassion and urgency.
- Individualized Case Management: Each woman works one-on-one with a case manager to assess her unique needs and circumstances. We help survivors navigate legal matters, healthcare access, and other essential services.
- Next Step Planning: From the moment they arrive, survivors are supported in identifying long-term options. Whether transitioning into our comprehensive residential program, reuniting with safe family, or exploring other stable housing opportunities, we walk with them every step of the way.
Annual Cost: Lighthouse operates at a cost of $270,000 annually. This includes staffing, housing, transportation, healthcare coordination, and basic needs. Your support ensures that survivors have a safe place to land, regroup, and plan for what’s next. Thank you for helping us make that first step possible.
