Pueblo Zoo staff and board have joined together to raise funds for one of their Pueblo favorites: the North American Porcupine. Your donation will fund their food, enrichment and care all year. Colorado Gives Day is your chance to support these adorable rodents!

Pueblo Zoo has been very successful over the years in breeding. Toby and his previous mate successfully had a porcupette, Sylvie, who resides at the Dallas Zoo.

Now with the addition of Ash, a female from the Staten Island Zoo, we hope to bring more porcupines to the Pueblo Zoo.

Challenges with wild North American Porcupines: human encroachment hinders the environment in which the North American porcupine lives. These solitary creatures are mostly found on the ground scavenging for all forms of plant materials, even evergreen needles.

Donate today to support Toby and Ash!
