Dance with JOY Denver is a cultivated safe space where youth aged 18 months through 17 years old can learn to thrive in multiple areas of their lives. Our classes are designed to not only train students in dance, but to offer character building, social emotional coping skills, and living on wellness principles. We have expanded our program into other art expressions such as theater, yoga, visual arts, creative writing, martial arts, etc. Colorado Gives Day will provide funding for our nonprofit, The P.U.L.S.E. Center (Prevention Unlimited Lowering Suicide Epidemic) which is extension of our services to provide resources around socio-economic growth, health, and overall wellness to promote the sustainability of quality of life for our families and community.provide resources around socio-economic growth, health, and overall wellness to promote the sustainability of quality of life for our families and community.

Mission Statement: Our programming is designed to support the full development of every human encountered...mind, body and spirit through dance. This program has been built from scratch to ensure our youth are getting wholesome, empowering, and enriching experiences while healing trauma and grief.

The importance of creating spaces that promote racial justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion cannot be overstated. DWJ embodies these values and principles in its mission, curriculum, and vision for the future. By prioritizing holistic development, DWJ aims to nurture well-rounded individuals who are not only skilled dancers but also compassionate, resilient, and socially conscious members of the community. Dance With JOY Denver exemplifies the values of racial justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion through its innovative approach to dance education and community engagement. By providing a safe and nurturing environment where youth can develop their talents, build essential life skills, and form lasting connections, DWJ is not only shaping the dancers of tomorrow but also contributing to a more just, equitable, and inclusive society.
