We are truly overwhelmed with gratitude.
Thanks to each and every one of you who donated to help us secure a transport van! We are truly at a loss for words (and yes, there have absolutely been tears of joy). Your generosity and belief in our mission made this possible. We’re hoping to pick up the van within the next week, and then it’s on to insurance and registration, it’s all becoming very real!
This is a HUGE milestone for our small program and a moment we won’t soon forget. This is something we have been dreaming of and struggling to attain for a year! The outpouring of support from this community has been nothing short of incredible, and we feel so fortunate to have you all behind us.
Because of you, we anticipate being able to save and transport on average 100+ more dogs every year. That impact is life-changing.

Pawsitive Pathways has been steadily growing our work across rural southeastern Colorado, but we’re still operating without something many rescues rely on every day…a dedicated transport vehicle.
For the past three years, we’ve made it work using personal and borrowed vehicles for everything: rescue trips, medical appointments, behavioral work, and community outreach. Right now we’re using our only working personal vehicle, a Chevy Silverado, and as you can imagine it gets crowded fast which means we have limited space to help all the dogs that need us.
Our mission goes beyond just rescue. We specialize in rehabilitating dogs who aren’t thriving in traditional shelter environments, giving them a real chance at adoption. We partner with rural shelters and holding facilities throughout the southeast region, conducting behavioral and adoptability evaluations, and helping network dogs into larger, more populated areas where they have a much better chance of finding homes.

A fellow nonprofit has offered us a transport van at an incredible price - an opportunity that truly fell into our lap and one we simply can’t pass up! We feel so incredibly grateful and blessed… but now we are on a bit of a time crunch.
⏳ We would like to secure this vehicle by April 30th, just 4 days away.
We desperately need help with a down payment at the very least to make this happen, but the total amount needed is $15,000.
This van would be a SERIOUS game-changer for our small but mighty program. It means:
* Safer, more efficient transports
* The ability to help more dogs, more often
* Expanded outreach and support for rural communities
* Less wear and tear on personal vehicles (and the humans behind them)
We’ve tried to secure grants for a vehicle, but due to our small size, we simply don’t qualify for most of them.
So we’re turning to our community, the people who believe in this work and the dogs we fight for every day!
