Every winter, hundreds of local families turn to Eagle Valley Community Foundation's The Community Market and The Salvation Army for a little extra support to make the holidays feel warm, nourishing, and joyful. Through our Winter Holiday Basket program, families receive ingredients that honor their culture, traditions, and celebrations—ensuring that every table across our valley can shine with dignity and abundance.

What’s Inside a Winter Holiday Basket?

Each curated basket includes:

• Fresh, high-quality produce

• Culturally meaningful ingredients

• Seasonal items that bring comfort and joy

• PLUS: a $20 City Market gift card so families can choose the protein or special ingredient that best fits their traditions—whether it’s chicken, beef, pork, or the ingredients for a cherished family recipe.

Each basket costs about $50 per family, but the impact goes far beyond the ingredients. These baskets restore dignity, empower choice, and help families celebrate the holidays in a way that feels authentically theirs.
