What does climate action look like for you?
Like many of us, I witness customers demand greener products and companies unable to meet those demands. This leads to greenwashing, dissatisfied customers, and an unhappier planet. To me, there's an obvious bottleneck behind that mess: our planet needs sustainable technologies that don't exist yet.
That's why I started volunteering with OUR&D, the climate solutions fund that uniquely fights climate change with crowdfunded research grants. OUR&D's grants unlock the sustainable technologies that our planet needs to thrive.
OUR&D’s first grant recipients just concluded their work successfully: a huge milestone in our mission to fund solutions for difficult-to-decarbonize climate problems. As the UN Chief said in the IPCC’s August 9th report, it’s “code red for humanity.'' -- There is no time to waste.
With Giving Season among us (and Colorado Gives Day 2022 around the corner!) I'm proud to use OUR&D's special position as a volunteer-powered, scientist-founded nonprofit to empower everyone to take action against the climate crisis. Giving individuals like you and me the capacity to fund science is a revolutionary approach to ensuring a sustainable -- and carbon free -- future for everyone.

OUR&D's approach to research funding reaches a broader pool of applicants, including historically underrepresented research groups; removes barriers to entry; and simplifies the funding process, allowing scientists to do what they do best: science!
