Let the Sunshine Work for Everyone!
Right now, rooftop solar is often seen on homes with financial means, while working families who stand to benefit the most are left behind.
Project SunShare is changing that.
Project SunShare is a community-driven initiative from 4CORE and Shaw Solar that makes rooftop solar accessible to income-qualified families in Southwest Colorado. By combining donated solar panels, sliding-scale costs, and community support, SunShare helps working households lower their energy bills, gain energy independence, and join the clean energy future—one rooftop at a time.
When We Make Solar Accessible To All, We:
Lower monthly costs for families facing energy burden
Build resilience in rural communities
Tackle the climate crisis at a local, tangible level
Create an energy future that includes everyone
Clean energy is not only our future—it’s the only future that protects both people and planet.
How It Works:
Shaw Solar donates solar panels and installation support
Households earning 150% or less of the Area Median Income may qualify
Donors like you help cover the remaining cost on a sliding scale
Families can save up to $6,000+ on the cost of solar
A typical 2kW solar array costs approximately $7,500. For some families, that’s impossible. But thanks to Project SunShare, that same system can now cost around $1,300—and qualify for federal tax credits. Your donation fills the gap.
