$500 goal

I am so excited to be part of the Garden to Table's garden team going on my 3rd year! I have the privilege to watch the kids learn hands on in their school gardens, host volunteer events and workshops where I have the opportunity to educate the public on organic farming practices, translate our documents to provide bilingual resources to our volunteers, and grow thousands of veggies every year at our 16 partner schools!

In the spring we start over 4,000 lettuces in the BVSD greenhouse, the 2nd graders then transplant and watch them grow under hoop houses in their school's garden. The 3rd graders harvest the lettuce to be served in the cafeteria to their peers for Rainbow Day
The elementary students love planting their summer garden and come back in the fall with loads of organic vegetables to harvest and bring home to their families.

Every dollar raised goes to getting more kids in a garden in Boulder County.

By giving through Colorado Gives between November 1 - December 5th, your gift is eligible to be leveraged to raise even more money for GTT through the Colorado Gives Day incentive fund. Think a gift match - but just a little different. Colorado Gives Day has a pool of money that they divide amongst the organizations who fundraise, based on how much they fundraise through this platform. It's a great way to fundraise even more for garden curriculum at our elementary schools!

Garden To Table provides school garden management, standards-based curriculum, teacher professional development, and community support to engage all students in experiential, garden-based learning. Donate today to Garden To Table to support more kids in gardens!

Our vision is a future in which gardens are an integral part of every school community fostering connection to nature, health and wellness, academic engagement and achievement, and environmental stewardship.

In 2023/2024, we accomplished many of our goals including:

  • Updating our curriculum to meet new academic standards/encourage more student garden visits - we now provide 3 ready-to-teach lessons that align with BVSD academic requirements for grades Pre-K through 5.
  • Hiring two(!) garden educators to teach at all of our Title I schools
  • Maintaining 16 thriving school gardens that led to a 53% increase in student garden visits over the last year

We love receiving positive testimonials about our program:
