Providing warm hugs one sweatshirt at a time.

We all know someone (or are that someone) who has been diagnosed with breast cancer.  Some of these women will be advised to have a double mastectomy.  Other women will test positive for a genetic mutation and choose to have preventative surgery.  After surgery, there are drains placed in the surgical site to help prevent fluid buildup.  The drains can typically be in place for weeks.  Hope Chest provides specialized sweatshirts to handle the drains and be discreet about one's recovery.  The cost to produce and send a sweatshirt is approximately $45.  We encourage our supporters to raise donations to sponsor 10, 20, 50, or more sweatshirts. We rely on our generous donors so we can send these sweatshirts at no cost to the women in need across the globe.  Spread the word to support the cause.  This small, but mighty gesture provides a "warm hug" to these women and allows them to protect and hide the drains during a vulnerable time.
