Mile High Rowing Colorado is the leading youth rowing team in Colorado. Through our mission, we are dedicated to promoting rowing to athletes grades 8-12. Our team supports athletes from around Denver, out into the Front Range, and down to Colorado Springs.
For our 2026 Colorado Gives campaign, we are fundraising $40,000 to accomplish these goals:
Update our fleet of boats and equipment: Our boats and oars are stored outside in the unpredictable Colorado elements, drastically decreasing their working lifespan. To provide improved rowing and racing experiences for our team we need to buy newer boats and oars.
Improve our area at Cherry Creek Reservoir: Currently we operate out of one shipping container and a collection of movable boat racks. We need to purchase new movable boat racks and purchase materials to construct new permanent boat racks.
Decrease out of pocket costs to athletes: In June 2026, 22 MHRC athletes raced at the US Rowing Youth National Championships; the most our team has raced at Nationals over the history of MHRC. We would love to keep this momentum going and make racing more accessible to more of the team. Donations to the team decrease out of pocket expenses for the athletes when we travel to regattas across the country.

2026 - Emma Baalbergen (Legend High School), Frances Rechtin (St Mary's Academy), Violet Turner (St Mary's Academy), and Brooke Tanberg (Arapahoe High School) place seventh int he Women's Youth 4- at US Rowing Youth Nationals
