The choice is clear, make a difference for CCM

In celebration of Colorado Gives Day, December 10th, 2024, we think the choice is clear to make, and we aim to have you support Clear Creek Makerspace (get it?)

Opened in March 2024, Clear Creek Makerspace (CCM) has welcomed over 11,000 people into the thriving, vibrant, innovative, and entrepreneurial community hub located in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. What is a makerspace? Short answer– a gym for your mind, a community workshop where anyone can come together to create, learn, build and share ideas. CCM offers several different shops, including a fab lab (home to 3D printing and rapid prototyping technology), woodshop (benchtop, cnc router and more) and metal shop (lathes and mills). But, what makes us different? Providing the shops and tools is one thing, but how are we really building something here? CCM is one of the first makerspaces of its kind to offer Growing U, a program that provides workshops, resources and micro-funding grants to propel CCM members forward. From crafting a product that people share with their friends and family to potentially launching a small online shop or opening a brick and mortar business, individuals have the opportunity to transition their skills into a budding small business, should they decide to take that step. So, the “make” we are asking for is not just funding the magic that happens inside CCM, it is funding the next big idea that could bring magic to your life.

CCM, powered by Localworks, a 501c3 nonprofit, is one of the largest makerspaces in Jefferson County and is powered through grants and private donations.

Your donation makes a difference:

- $25 covers basic tool and equipment purchases & upgrades

- $50 educates 10 community members on ANY machine!

- $100 covers software upgrades and finite tool repairs, to keep our makers making.

- $250 covers a grant for a member to take their project to the next level, such as coaching business licensing, etc.

-$500 covers one membership scholarship
