About the Lincoln Bicentennial Class of 1976 Scholarship at Denver Scholarship Foundation

The Abraham Lincoln High School Class of 1976 is establishing a scholarship at Denver Scholarship Foundation (DSF) to celebrate and support their fellow Lincoln High graduates as they pursue college education. DSF is a nonprofit co-founded by Tim Marquez (‘76) that helps make college possible for Denver Public School students and graduates.

An anonymous classmate will match your contributions, dollar-for-dollar, up to $50,000! Once $100,000 is raised, this Scholarship will become endowed to benefit and support Lincoln High graduates for years to come.

To make this bicentennial class gift possible for future Lincoln graduates, we need participation at every level, from many smaller donations to a handful of larger, leadership gifts. Every contribution plays an important role, and we encourage each person to give in a way that reflects their capacity and commitment.

You can support this DSF Scholarship by making one-time or recurring contributions through this page. If you wish to make a gift of stock, give through a Donor Advised Fund, donate using a retirement distribution, or have questions about supporting this fund, please email givingpartnerships@denverscholarship.org for instructions.

DSF Future Centers

With support from community members like you, DSF builds the educational and economic future of Denver by collaborating with DPS high school students, families, and partners statewide to increase access and completion of post-high school learning. This work also expands generational exposure to career and entrepreneurial opportunities. Many DPS students begin their journey to and through college graduation and career success by visiting a DSF Future Center (DSF Future Center at Lincoln pictured above).

At 15 DSF Future Centers, including the DSF Future Center located at Abraham Lincoln High School, DSF College Advisors guide and advise students through building and pursuing their plans after high school, with a primary focus on postsecondary planning for higher education, including each step of the college application and financial aid process. Whether they choose a pathway to pursue a certificate, associate, and/or bachelor’s degree, DSF provides support in navigation and thought partnership every step of the way.

An even greater impact

On average, each year our DSF Scholars receive $3 in additional financial aid from our College Partners for every $1 they receive from DSF. Because it takes more than just financial aid, DSF College Partners guarantee DSF Scholars additional academic and financial support on campus by providing additional grants and scholarships. Our College Partners also connect DSF Scholars with special programs and services such as mentoring, tutoring, workshops, and other programs and resources to help them succeed and graduate, joining our broad network of more than 11,600 DSF Alumni.

How can you make a difference?

To boost your impact and help us create sustainable programs and scholarship opportunities, you can start a recurring gift made to DSF. You can also make a difference by sharing this fundraiser using the links at the top of this page.
